Kegs has a larger range of subjects and lessons than most primary schools, and these lessons are always to a set time. School lasts twent five minutes longer to fit lessons in. Our school fucoses on all the subjects you did at primary school plus at least one language and more religous education., and we work on different topics every half term. We also have more equipment and rooms for practical work.
In 2009-2010 these were all of the curricular subjeccts:

Art
DT
RE
Science
Maths
English
ICT
Reading
German
History
Geography
Games
PE
Music
Drama
PSE

At the beginning of the year you will be given a timetable telling you when each lesson is. On the current time table, lessons start at 9:20am but school starts before this. You will have a form tutor who does registration and does PSE lessons.

There are different buildings equipped and prrepared for different subjects such as the DT block, the art block and the music block. Every subhect has a different teacher, and teacher is always either very good or very bad.

Detentions

There are many different types of detention that you can get at Kegs, and some lessons have specific punishments.
This table is a guide to which detention is which.

Homework

Trust me, if you haven't had a tutor before, the amount of homework you will get from KEGS will be SHOCKING - we're talking about around an hour and a half a night. In fact, there is so much homework that you have to have a homework diary too keep record of it (homework diaries don't last long so you can buy new ones (50p small 70p large)). Usually you will start homework in class so do it quickly. Always keep your homework to a high standard, even if it takes ages, because it will affect your effort grades (see general).
